Poodle Springs

Hardboiled, cynical detective Philip Marlowe is back. Though married to a wealthy heiress, he is not content to lounge around the pool. It isn't long before Marlowe is mired in a gambling case involving bigamy, pornography, and murder in the posh desert community of Poodle Springs.

Raymond Chandler (1888-1959) was an American novelist and screenwriter, who was one of the founders of the hardboiled school of detective fiction. His novels included The Big Sleep, The Lady in the Lake, and The Long Goodbye, all featuring detective Philip Marlowe. Robert B. Parker (1932-2010) was an American author of more than sixty novels. Most well-known for the novels that feature the private detective Spenser, Parker twice won the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America. Elliott Gould is an Oscar-nominated American actor with more than 100 credits, including The Long Goodbye in which he played Philip Marlowe.
